Turbine all these other companies decided they needed mass appeal (think Farmville).

Nowadays these games are very expensive to create and add content. Or someone got a unfair advantage because they were helped by the developers. Either someone that tested the content before live such as what happened in Asheron's Call. Lots of people get it done.Ģ) You can put a server limit in place.

It will not be long before everyone knows how to do it. People not in the testing program never had a chance.ġ) There are no secrets in an online game. As soon as the servers can up, they were waiting to get it done. Regular customers that were part of the private testing program had already done this content before live. There were all these complaints about unfairness. The game world state changed and nobody else could get it. First person to complete the content element on the server got the item. There was a awesome set of armor that was server unique. This unique item only existed within the inventory of a single character on one of the game world. In Asheron's Call Turbine created a truly unique item. The games were less expensive to develop. Years ago online games were designed for a small fanatical customer base. You are told to put 10 thousand dollars into the basket to purchase the class unlock. Complete the ability to buy this class unlock sequence. How would that work for this suggestion? Put a server limit of 10. These products like Lear jets and high end sports cars are rare because they are expensive and beyond the pricing capability of the vast majority of the human race or the number of units is deliberately kept low or both. What you are describing is the high priced products for the very wealthy. In order to earn dollars to pay for new features, they have to be accessible and used by lots of people. Lotro operates like all other low priced products. What value is there to Turbine for resources on a feature that very few customers will ever use?

I don't even have an inkling that this would ever be implemented, just want to know what the community would think of it. Those without the unlock "credentials" would complain that its not fair

Could open up a whole new realm of exploit possibilities in current end-game content. Moors complaint or further "breaking" of the Moors.perhaps limit the reknown Gain or handicap it so that they're only used when needed (like the current quest, but not so OP of a character) It would give those players with multiple level capped toons ( say 5+) something to work on.-might want to eliminate rest xp from it as the high damage would allow quests to be completed quickly. Could be easy enough to design just by giving powerful Melee and ranged attacks that already exist (think common and hard hitting skills of Champ, Hunter, and Guardian, with Captain type heals).

Could implement a full reward system if say, full challenge mode Raids were completed by a fellowship of 4 Rangers only and make all rewards bind to account or bind on acquire in order to prevent market flood-this would allow all the excellent group content to be played by your smaller groups that don't raid and allow them rewards locked to their accounts. This could allow lesser skilled players to experience entire Raids and endgame content without sacrificing the rewards (if reward penalty came in to play) This could increase the playtime and Store sales as players invest more time and money in order to help them "unlock" their Ranger( limit one per account) Rangers would be limited to the race of man, Controls could be to limit the amount of Rangers allowed in a Raid, or to reduce the loot quality based on the amount of Rangers in the Raid. Of course, servers and Moors flooded with these not-quite Numernorian but still advanced (deals more damage, parries more, resists more), so controls would need to be implemented. These would be Faramir's Ranger types, not Aragorn's direct Numenorian descent Rangers to protect the story. Just for discussion, what are your thoughts on being able to "unlock" (ala SWG original Pre-CU Jedi unlock) an advance class of Gondorian Ranger once an account has reach certain criteria?
